At YDC we're proud to be a UKA (United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing) recognised examination centre. In fact the principle, Alan Young, is a qualified UKA examiner. We hold regular sessions, approximately 3 times a year, where an external examiner from the UKA is invited to test our students.
The UKA exam syllabus has been created by dance professionals to inspire students to achieve their personals goals and milestones. The colourful awards are the best in the business, providing a delightful reward for the student's hard work.
The exams have been developed to provide dancers of all levels with a structured progression from music and movement to Highland and Scottish National technique, from written submissions to theory presentations.
